The LEDtronics LED Post Top Lamp Solution

In this economy, many cities are in search of ways to cut costs and become more efficient. Street and parking lot lighting can be a major consumer of energy and budget to a city. Along with many other benefits, LEDtronics LED post top lamps offer a solution to this problem.

LEDtronics recently partnered with Carpinteria, CA to help reduce energy costs and switch from traditional High Pressure Sodium lights to LEDtronics LED lamps on their Amtrak platform and adjoining Linden Avenue. The 150 watt HPS bulbs were replaced by 27 watt LED lamps that have a 50,000 hour life expectancy, over three times as long as the HPS bulb. They are expecting a 66% reduction of energy consumption.

Payback from switching to LED can take as little as one and a half years and save up to 70% on energy and maintenance costs. While HPS lamps may need maintenance every 8,000 hours of usage, a LED post top lamp can last up to 5 years, maintenance free.

  • LED post top lamps also reduce light pollution.

  • LED lamps use highly directional light that does not bounce around like HPS lamps.

  • Each beam pattern can be finely tuned to provide light only where it is needed and not only reduce light pollution but also glares that diminish night vision.

If implemented throughout a city, LED post top lamps can create safer nighttime visibility, cut back on energy usage and save money.

LEDtronics has been “Creating the Future of Light Since 1983 providing energy efficient and environmentally friendly LED lighting products to customers. Through their innovative skills, they are able to address customers’ specific needs and provide expert technical assistance. Shannon at Work

Shannon Poh, an inside sales supervisor and territory representative, has worked with LEDtronics for the past eleven years. When initially considering joining the LEDtronics team, Shannon was impressed with the company’s environmentally earth friendly mission statement. Since becoming part of the LEDtronics family Shannon has shared and promoted this mission.

In her capacity as an inside sales supervisor, Shannon is responsible for helping customers and co-workers determine the correct LED Lighting Product required for the requested application. This involves staying in constant communication with distributors and individual customers, staying current with the many different LED Lighting Products and applications, and ensuring superior customer care. Shannon also has many responsibilities as a territory representative. She manages all the quotes, processing, and customer contact for much of the international business ranging from Australia/New Zealand to Europe to Canada, and Asia, as well as eighteen of the United States.

Shannon is proud to be part of a company that furthers environmental responsibility. However, what Shannon finds most fulfilling is assisting customers, especially those who have been frustrated by lack of help elsewhere, to find the exact product for which they were searching. Shannon describes herself as straight to the point person, someone who likes to be busy, and likes to take charge by getting a handle on the job and getting it completed. She is happy being a part of the LEDtronics team where everyone works well together and co-workers are like an extended family. In the in the coming years, she looks forward to continuing to grow with the company and feels that if the company is succeeding, then she is as well.

Shannon at Home

Shannon was born in Monterey, CA and she enjoys creating experiences with her five-year-old son, Braydon. LEGOLAND is a particular favorite, but they also take frequent trips to Disneyland, SeaWorld, The Aquarium of the Pacific, and the LA Zoo.

They also have fun traveling to Northern California to spend time with family, and last summer they took a trip to Florida. Shannon loves showing Braydon as much of the world as possible and is committing to sharing new experiences with him. Shannon’s dream vacation is somewhere exotic and tropical, like Bora Bora, where she can have a cabana that opens right onto a pristine beach. Shannon and Braydon also share a great love of nature and animals. They have a dog, cats, and fish at home, and love going outside to explore the natural world. In addition to being a great mother, Shannon also enjoys bowling with her league, going to dinner with friends, and being social with the people in her life.

Shannon is a valued member of the LEDtronics family, and much of her personality can be understood through her personal life motto, “Ignore the negative and explore the positive.”
