Did You Know Ep 2 - Providing Light From Buckingham to Broadway
Over the years, we at LEDtronics have provided LED lighting solutions for many iconic land marks and notable clients.
One of our most notable customers was the Royal family. We collaborated with Bespoke Lighting to aid the family in setting the standard for energy conservation in the United Kingdom. Hundreds of LED bulbs were used to retro fit existing Chandelier bulbs and 32,000 Accent Strip LEDs were used to add accent to the Grand Stair Case in the Buckingham Palace. The LED lights provided the benefit of low energy consumption, low maintenance costs and safe UV free lighting for their many priceless paintings and old world treasures.
We are also proud to have contributed to lighting the set of the Grammy-award-winning musical Wicked. The nature of a traveling set posed many drawbacks to using incandescent light. Bulbs often broke, burned out and needed replacement. LEDtronics provided an LED alternative that would withstand the wear of travel and achieve a truer color for sets such as the abundantly green Emerald City.
Another east coast project included LEDtronics partnership with the Anacostia Waterfront Initiative to light the Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge. Washington D.C. implemented the Initiative to clean up the Anacostia River and its waterfronts. The 55-year old bridge had fallen subject to decay and the project set out to restore and light it with custom decorative LED lighting that would last longer, consume less energy and beautify the night skyline.
These notable projects, along with many others make LEDtronics one of the industry’s most innovative and reliable LED manufacturers today.
